These fabulous early mid century lamps originate from The British Aircraft Corporation in Filton, Bristol, the birthplace of Concorde and have been recently restored and converted for domestic use.
The body of the lights is original and is made from Holophane glass which enables light to radiate evenly through the entire glass structure, unlike a traditional down light.
The later added copper top piece, custom made from pure copper from Bolivian copper mines adds a contemporary twist to the form and elegance of these graceful, industrial style lamps.
It is important to note that although the lights have been professionally converted, they do not come with PAT testing paperwork, therefore the responsibility falls on the buyer to have them fully checked and tested by a qualified electrician prior to installation. Safety should always be a priority when dealing with vintage electrical items.
