A Set of Three Holophane Glass and Copper Lamps from The British Aircraft Corporation

These fabulous large, heavyweight early mid century lamps originate from The British Aircraft Corporation in Filton, Bristol, the birthplace of Concorde and have been recently restored and converted for domestic use.
The body of the lights is original and is made from Holophane glass which unlike a traditional down light, enables light to radiate evenly through the entire glass structure.
The later added top piece, custom made from pure copper from Bolivian copper mines adds a contemporary twist to the form and elegance of these graceful, industrial lamps.
It is important to note that although the lights have been professionally converted, they do not come with PAT testing paperwork, therefore the responsibility falls on the buyer to have them fully checked and tested by a qualified electrician prior to installation. Safety should always be a priority when dealing with vintage electrical items.
