Large French Walnut Chest of Drawers (late 19th century)

This is a fabulous chest of drawers - beautifully made, heavyweight and elegant with carved decorative detail, retaining the original beading and handles, later decorated by a highly skilled artisan with an original pattern in faded shades of  green, old gold and black on a chalky white background.
An exceptionally useful and decorative piece, with four large drawers providing plenty of storage.
